ATTENDANCE

Attendance is absolutely crucial to your child’s success at school. There are many studies which show a direct link between a child’s attendance and their performance at GCSE. Please see this government document published last year:

DfE attendance document

We take attendance very seriously. The average attendance nationally is 94.9%.

Our target is 98%. In order to achieve this we need the support of parents to encourage their students to attend school every day. Every day of school missed is five hours of learning missed. If your child misses one day of school per week they will miss 190 hours of learning over the course of the year.
